The New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund, Inc. accepts VISA, American Express, Discover and MasterCard (above) and Paypal Donations (here):

We are also accepting checks mailed to NOMRF, 102 W. Washington St., Unit 2, Bloomington, IL 61701. (We spend about half of our time in New Orleans but this is where NOMRF founders ended up after their evacuation.)

Donations to the 501(c)3 Certified Fund are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Conn-Selmer, one of the largest band instrument distributors in the USA has offered to give us discounted prices that are below wholesale on all instruments purchased by NOMRF. This generous offer will help us make your cash donations stretch as far as possible.

DONATE TIME
Donating money isn't the only way to contribute. Here are some ways that you could donate your time. If you work for a radio station, feel free to mention the NOMRF.org web address to your listeners. If you are a musician or if you own a musical venue, feel free to organize your own benefit concert to get donations and to raise awareness for NOMRF.org. If you have access to a bulletin board at your work or school, print out our flyer and stick it on the bulletin board (Click here for flyer). Email your local newspaper and ask them to include NOMRF.org in their list of ways to help those effected by hurricane Katrina. Post a link for NOMRF on your web site or in online message boards. Put a NOMRF collection box by the cash register in your store. Thank you in advance for any efforts you make for this charity.

DONATE YOUR TALENT
Established musicians who are doing well can donate the proceeds from an iTunes song or submit a song for us to put on a compilation CD or into our PodCasts to help other New Orleans musicians. We are also collecting interviews from New Orleans musicians for our podcasts.

DONATE GEAR
A musician needs the tools of the trade to make a living and many musicians in New Orleans are returning to damaged or destroyed instruments. If you have a musical instrument that you don't play anymore, we will find it a good home in the hands of a New Orleans based musician that lost their instrument in the flooding. We are seeing a need for all types of instruments, but electronic gear (like microphones and amplifiers) are being requested in the highest numbers. This is because many musicians took their primary instruments, but left their electronic accessories (like their microphones, mixers and amplifiers).
